Integration design
Pattern, direction, payload contract, authentication, rate limits and error handling, documented before build.
ServiceNow AI Solutions
Connect external models, third-party agents and AI tooling to ServiceNow, with the security review done before anything goes live.
Not all of your AI will live on ServiceNow, and it does not need to. A model running elsewhere, a specialist vendor agent, an internal data science service — any of these can be connected to platform workflows.
What matters is how. Each connection is a path for data to leave your platform, so it needs explicit decisions about what data crosses the boundary, how it is authenticated, how failure is handled, what is logged and who reviewed it.
We design and build these integrations, and we run them through security review before they reach production — not as a formality afterward.
The deliverables below are the default scope. We adjust them to your situation during scoping and confirm the final list in writing.
Pattern, direction, payload contract, authentication, rate limits and error handling, documented before build.
Exactly which fields cross the boundary, their classification, and whether each is necessary.
Documentation your security team needs: authentication model, encryption in transit, credential storage and rotation, logging and retention.
Implemented with IntegrationHub, scripted REST or your standard middleware, with retries, timeouts and a degraded-mode behavior.
Availability, latency, error rate, volume and cost where the external service bills per call.
Technical findings to feed your vendor risk process, including what the vendor does not expose.
Indicative timings for a typical engagement of this type. Your scope, environment and availability of stakeholders will move them.
What the external AI does that platform capability cannot, and why the integration is justified.
Integration and data flow design, taken through security and privacy review before build.
Build in sub-production, test failure modes deliberately — timeouts, bad payloads, revoked credentials.
Production deployment with monitoring live from day one, then two weeks of hypercare.
These are the goals we design the engagement around. They are objectives, not guarantees, and the result depends on decisions and effort on your side as much as ours.
A note on accuracy. ServiceNow releases change quickly. Treat the capability descriptions here as a general guide and confirm current features, licensing and prerequisites against the official ServiceNow product documentation for your release.
Questions
If it exposes a reasonable API and your security team accepts the data flow, generally yes. Where a vendor’s API is poor or its data handling is unclear, the honest answer is that the integration is possible but unwise, and we will say so.
Your security team owns the decision. We produce the documentation they need and fix what they raise. We do not sign off on your behalf.
By minimizing it. We map every field, challenge each one, and remove what is not needed. What remains is documented, classified and included in the governance record for that use case.
Tell us the symptom rather than the solution. If a different service fits better — or none of ours does — we will say so.
